Melody "Mel" Lynch

            Melody “Mel” Renee Lynch, 45, of Versailles passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at her residence.  Mel was born Tuesday, March 19, 1974 in Batesville, Indiana, the daughter of the late Henry Arthur and Eileen Grace (Wallace) Lewis.  Mel was a homemaker and her hobbies included: babysitting; camping; dancing; and going to auctions.  She enjoyed hanging out with friends and spending time with her family.

            Mel is survived by mom Sharon Arthur of Versailles; daughter Hailley Eden (Luke Shorter) of Versailles; granddaughter Riley Kai Shorter; brothers: Tom Arthur (companion Debbie) of New Point, Albert (Debbie) Arthur of Milan, David Arthur (companion Lura) of Scottsburg, Tim Arthur (companion Cathy) of Milan, Chris (Donna) Arthur of Westport, Jeff (Jen) Arthur of Versailles, and Roger Jr. (Alice) Lewis of Milan; sisters: Barb (Ron Sr. ) Bruns of Patriot and April (Kenny) Pruitt of Cleves.  She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Mary Arthur.

            A service celebrating her life will be held 11 AM Friday, January 10, 2020 at Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home in Milan with Pastor Matthew Bruns officiating.  Burial will follow in Tanglewood Cemetery in Versailles.  Family and friends may gather to share and remember her 10-11 AM Friday, January 10 also at the funeral home.
