Evelyn (Bushhorn) Hunter

            Evelyn (Bushhorn) Hunter of Milan passed away at the age of 76 at Margaret Mary Health in Batesville on Tuesday, March 21, 2023. Evelyn was born on Saturday, October 5, 1946 in Milan; daughter of Donald and Eleanor (Werbach) Bushhorn. Evelyn married her loving husband, Elmer Hunter. Evelyn was a member of the Milan First Baptist Church. She formerly worked at The Railroad Inn as a dishwasher. Evelyn enjoyed working puzzles, playing cards, using her tablet, painting flowers, and tending to her flowers she planted.

            Evelyn will be greatly missed by her husband, Elmer Hunter, of Milan; grandchildren Cory (Fiancée Bri Wilson) Hunter of Milan, Chris (Kayla) Hunter of Milan, Ashley Hunter of Dillsboro, and Eric Hunter of Dillsboro; great grandchildren Kenize Hunter, Kolton Hunter, Addison Hunter, Tristen Hunter, and Michaela Hunter; brother Dennis (Ellen) Bushhorn of Westport; and sisters Ethel Grigsby, Erma Hunter, and Linda Craig all of Milan.

            Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Eleanor Bushhorn, son Mike Hunter, great grandchild Brooklyn Hunter, and brother Delmar Bushhorn.

            Family and friends may gather in remembering Evelyn from 5:00 - 7:00 PM on Friday, March 24, 2023 at the Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home in Milan. A service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 25, 2023 also at the funeral home with Pastor Harris Long officiating. Burial will take place in St. Paul Methodist Cemetery, Sunman. Memorials may be given in honor of Evelyn to the family.
