Gregory "Greg" Anderson Obituary

          Gregory “Greg” Anderson, 58, of Guilford passed away Friday, August 20, 2021, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, Kentucky.  Known as a devoted, quiet, humble and kind man, he will be deeply missed by family and friends.

          Greg was born on April 12, 1963, in Cincinnati, Ohio to Paul and Alma (Ellison) Anderson.  He married his high school sweetheart, Melissa (Clark) Anderson on April 4, 1987.  Greg was a general manager for McDonalds’ Inc.  An outstanding athlete during his years at Milan High School, Greg played basketball, football, baseball and track.   Along with being an avid fan of IU basketball and Notre Dame football, hunting, fishing and gardening were Greg’s favorite hobbies.   His love of nature and the great outdoors was evident as you could find Greg in the woods during deer and turkey season, in the garden tending to his vegetables and flowers during the summer and fishing at his favorite spots throughout the year.

          Greg will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 34 years Melissa Anderson of Guilford, mother Alma Anderson of Sunman, brothers Bill (Judy) Anderson of Guilford and Jason (LeeAnn) Anderson of Sunman, sister Paulene (Dennis) Knapp of Sunman along with many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his father Paul Anderson and sister Teresa Elza.

          Family and friends may gather in remembrance of Greg on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. with a service directly following at noon at Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home in Milan with Rev.
