Nancy Anne (Bernard) Borin, 63, of Moores Hill lost her battle with ALS on Saturday, September 4, 2021, at her residence with her loving family by her side. Nancy was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on Monday, September 30, 1957, the daughter of Eugene and Marian (Jacobs) Bernard. She married the love of her life Joel “Joe” Borin Jr on May 8, 1981, and they shared 40 years of marriage together. Nancy worked as a hair stylist for Paragon Salons in Cincinnati, Ohio. Nancy was a devoted wife and mother. Her children and grandchildren, who called her Mimi, meant the world to her, and she loved them dearly. She worked as a hair stylist for over 40 years, and she touched the lives of many people, including her co-workers, her clients, and her friends. Her expertise was sought after by many people, as was evidenced by the many awards she received. Her profession was truly one that she loved. Aside from her work and spoiling her grandchildren whenever she had the chance, she also enjoyed many hobbies, including fishing, basket weaving, and gardening. She was also well known for her love of baking and her delicious cookie trays were anticipated by many people at Christmas time.
Nancy will be greatly missed by her surviving family including her loving husband Joe of Moores Hill, Indiana; children Kelly (Jesse) Listermann of Ross, Ohio, Joel (Jamie) Borin III of Waynesville, North Carolina, and Katie Borin of Indianapolis, Indiana; and grandchildren Toby and Jacob Listermann.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Marian, and sister Rose Bernard.
A small private service will be held for the family, with a celebration of life held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to your local Animal Shelter or to the ALS Association in memory of Nancy.
